World Bee Day!

Did you know May 20 was World Bee Day?! What a Beautiful Day to celebrate! I was reminded of this day on my Becorns calendar. The Awesomeness of Becorns will be a whole other post!

I used to be so afraid of most bees as a kid. Today, I can plant things in my raised beds and not be too bothered by them. I love it when the bumblebees quickly and loudly buzz around my head as if to say, “You’re in the way!” I found myself reminding them, out loud, that I was planting the flowers for them! We seem to have a good relationship since that talk.😂 Not so much that they’ve changed, because of course they haven’t! They’re “bee”ing! I’ve reminded myself that they are doing their job and they need their space. I’m so grateful they do what they do and that they let me take lots of photos of them and some pretty close! Check out my latest haiku inspired by bees, too!

Below are some bee picture book recommendations. Click on each image to find out more about them! I’d love to hear your book recommendations about bees! Feel free to comment below.
